Question: Can I use the Photo Viewer Software with dial-up connections?
Answer: I update ReplayTV 5500 through dial-up phone line. I've tried configuring network setup to a PC that does not have a broadband connection. I want to use Photo Viewer and it needs ethernet connection between PC and Replay. Can Photo Viewer really be used without broadband connection and if so, how is it set up.
jleavens writes: Yes, you can. Even if you use the modem connection, the Replay still will work with a home network for the Photo Viewer software and will even still stream shows between multiple Replay units! To use it, you'll need to have either a wired or wireless network in your home that both the computer and the Replay are connected to.
